Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) are recruiting for an Underwriting Controls Analyst to support the design, improvement and delivery of a robust underwriting controls framework. Reporting to the Underwriting Controls Manager, you’ll work closely with underwriting teams and senior stakeholders to ensure controls, processes and governance meet both internal standards and Lloyd’s regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the development and maintenance of underwriting controls and frameworks
Produce and maintain key documentation (policies, procedures, guidelines)
Monitor, test and report on underwriting controls, KPIs and exceptions
Deliver monthly reporting and insights to the Underwriting Committee
Assist with regulatory reviews, reporting, and underwriting-related projects
Support annual processes such as Letters of Authority
Help embed best practice across underwriting processes
What we’re looking for:
Experience in the Lloyd’s or London Market (underwriting, operations, risk, or compliance)
Understanding of underwriting controls and Lloyd’s oversight principles
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of PBQA, regulatory returns, or controls testing (desirable)
Progress towards or completion of ACII (preferred)
Strong attention to detail
Analytical and proactive approach
