Essential Functions:
Prepares and approves renewals within authority limits, focusing on long-term profitability, retention, and pricing goals.
Reviews account details (coverage, claims history, updates) and assesses risk profiles for renewal eligibility.
Prepares information for accounts outside authority limits for underwriter review.
Communicates with agents and collaborates with underwriters to manage the agency book of business effectively.
Ensures proper file documentation.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with agents through regular interactions (meetings, calls, written communication).
Provides excellent customer service to promote renewal retention.
Addresses agents' concerns and resolves issues collaboratively with internal teams.
Reviews, underwrites, and approves endorsements within authority limits.
Provides endorsement quotes and evaluates associated risks (policy coverage, loss history, claims data).
Determines if additional information is needed for accurate decisions.
Handles reinstatements, cancellations, and policy billing inquiries.
Assists with tasks like ordering reports, reviewing drivers, and completing monthly projects.
Collaborates with underwriters and territory management teams to understand risk appetite and utilize resources effectively.
Education & Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience
One year of insurance industry experience or related experience
Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of the insurance industry experience requirement
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
Good personal computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft products
General knowledge of insurance terminology
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently
Occasional travel; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if driving
