Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Underwriting Assistant to support our Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance underwriting team. The ideal candidate will assist underwriters with policy processing, risk assessment support, documentation, and client service. Utilize technology to rate policy premiums for all new/renew lines, endorsements and cancellations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and technical support to underwriters in the review and processing of insurance applications.
- Prepare, review, and issue policy documents, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
- Perform preliminary risk assessments and identify missing or incomplete information.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in underwriting and policy management systems.
- Communicate with brokers, agents, and clients to obtain additional information or resolve
- discrepancies.
- Assist in monitoring policy renewals, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare underwriting files, correspondence, and reports as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely policy issuance.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Excellent computer skills (emailing, computer rating)
- Provide research and analytical skills to identify, gather and organize information
- to provide recommendations
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (particularly, excel, word, and outlook) in PC-windows operating system.
- Ability to learn new software applications.
- Proven ability to work with goals.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Multi-lingual in spoken Chinese (mandarin or cantonese)
Education/Experience:
● U.S. BACHELOR DEGREE MINIMUM.

Pay Details:
The base compensation range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
