As a Research Student, you will assist the BioRobotics Core in testing capabilities for a wide range of biomechanical modalities, developing new test protocols and discovering innovative techniques for instrument and data collection. On this team, your focus will include data analysis, specimen preparation, CAD design and software development. This position offers an excellent way to enhance your research and analytic skills in an innovative healthcare environment.
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Actively participate in a structured learning experience in a laboratory and/or clinical research setting.
- Gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical settings, data collection and analysis.
- Explore careers in biomedical and/or clinical research.
- Conduct research in laboratories and/or clinical settings under direct supervision.
- Perform data collection and analysis under direct supervision.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Research laboratory experience

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Ability to distinguish color.
- Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds.
- May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc.

- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
