Nous sommes à la recherche d’un Officier Géotechnique, qui aura en charge la mise en œuvre des campagnes géotechniques, l'identification des risques et des systèmes de surveillance géotechnique.

Poste basé à Canga, ouvert aux Candidats Guinéens uniquement avec un contrat de travail local.

Relevant du l’Ingénieur Senior Géotechnicien, l’Officier géotechnique aura les responsabilités suivantes :
  • Aider le département d'ingénierie géotechnique à recueillir les données géotechniques nécessaires
  • Effectuer les inspections et communiquer toutes les préoccupations géotechniques, tout en procédant à la création et la mise à jour des cartes de risques géotechniques
  • Installer, entretenir et exploiter tous les systèmes de surveillance géotechnique.
  • Participer au programme de surveillance géotechnique en traitant et collectant à la fois les données géotechniques et de surveillance ainsi que la préparation des rapports de gestion des pentes requis
  • Gérer les projets d'investissement géotechniques (logistique, supervision, collecte de données).
  • Assurer la liaison et soutenir la gestion des entrepreneurs par l'intermédiaire des systèmes de gestion des entrepreneurs.

Ce que vous apporterez :

  • Avoir un diplôme universitaire en ingénierie géotechnique, géologique, minière ou civile, ou en sciences de la terre soutenue et disposer d’au moins 2 ans d’expérience dans le domaine du poste
  • Avoir un permis de conduire (Biométrique) en cours de validité est indispensable ;
  • Avoir une expérience d’un environnement multiculturel et une capacité de travailler efficacement avec une équipe pluridisciplinaire dans le respect de délais,
  • Avoir des compétences avérées en matière de communication (Français – Anglais), y compris une capacité à établir des relations avec les parties prenantes internes et externes ;
  • Être orienter vers la sécurité de soi et de son équipe.

About the Simandou Project
The Simandou Iron Ore Project is located in the Republic of Guinea, West Africa. It is Africa’s largest infrastructure and mining project and represents one of the largest known reserves of high-grade iron ore in the world.

Rio Tinto holds rights to Simandou Blocks 3 and 4 through SimFer, a joint venture between the Government of the Republic of Guinea, Rio Tinto and Chalco Iron Ore Holdings (CIOH). Construction of the mine, together with the associated rail and port infrastructure, is well underway with first production from the SimFer mine expected in 2025.

Skills Required

  • University degree in geotechnical, geological, mining, or civil engineering, or supported earth sciences
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Valid biometric driver's license
  • Experience in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and meet deadlines
  • Proven communication skills in French and English
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong personal and team safety orientation
