Work Arrangement
- Position Summary
The Accounting Assistant supports the Finance Department by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reporting, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role contributes to the efficient operation of the client’s financial systems through strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations, supporting monthly and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with tax compliance activities, including preparation and submission of tax returns, VAT returns, and National Insurance contributions.
- Support internal audits to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation. Coordinate with external auditors as needed.
- Assist in the creation and management of budgets, forecasts, and business plans to inform strategic decisions.
- Perform daily bookkeeping duties, process invoices, reconcile accounts, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and support financial process improvements as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support role.
- Understanding of UK GAAP principles, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail. As well towards the candidate, this will be for our UK office, we would be looking for someone that has a history towards UK & European account, VAT compliance etc.
Work Arrangement
- Work Setup: Flexible Work Arrangement
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm UK time, should complete nine (9) hours work
