Engineering Operations Manager
Aircraft Engineering Services (AES Ltd) are inviting applications for an Engineering Operations Manager to be based at Stansted Airport (STN), working in cooperation with our client Ryanair, Europe's largest airline.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the UK General Manager as part of the UK Management Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and management of Ryanair's 11 UK Engineering Outstations and a team of 150+ Engineers and Supervisors. Daily duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Management of Routine Maintenance, Aircraft Incidents/AOG’s and Third Party Liaison.
- Manpower planning, recruitment and staff performance management.
- Ensuring appropriate spares, tooling and facilities are available at each location.
- Budgeting, invoicing and negotiation/management of contracts with external suppliers/companies
- Conducting regular visits to Line Stations across the UK, ensuring staff welfare and regulatory compliance.
- Investigating Maintenance Delays, Engineering Safety Reports and Non-Compliances, implementing strategies to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications and Experience:
We are looking for a motivated self-starter with managerial experience who is ready, willing and able to manage technical teams in a diverse and fast-changing environment. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent time management, with the ability to balance multiple competing priorities and effectively communicate progress and/or issues to Senior Management.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven leadership experience, capable of remotely managing diverse teams.
- Previous experience in Aviation or Engineering is advantageous, but not essential.
- Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Applicants must have unrestricted right-to-work in the UK, hold a valid Full-UK Driving Licence and be willing to travel and work within the UK.
