Position Summary
Role and Responsibilities
- Work with engineering team as a core part of the design process.
- Collaborate with and develop mutual respect and trust with Engineers and other Designers.
- Mature and evolve the notion of framework by collaborating with other leads to form a cohesive offering across products.
- Work across programs to define, maintain, and evolve the tools, processes, and communication around asset management.
- Leverage principle contributors to explore concept development to influence product, a point-of-view around user scenario, and product commitments.
- Defend Mobile products, brand promise, and its unique value prop amid an interlaced relationship with Samsung's master brand.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Command of layout and information hierarchy.
- Effective core interaction design skills to solve complex user flows, visually organize complex data, and build cohesive design frameworks.
- ~3 years of industry experience.
- Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions.
Preferred Qualifications
- A portfolio that demonstrates ~3 years of experience in leading the development of User Experience (UX) framework and design systems which resulted in successful product launches at scale.
- Collaboration and communication skills to lead critical and complex efforts across Engineering and other UX teams.
- Self-motivated, able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
- Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch).
- Experience with Android and iOS design.
- Strong point of view on creative ideas and ability to promote conceptual thinking among team.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and solve problems proactively.
