UI/UX Designer

Overview 
 

AlphaNode, an AI-driven high-finance technology company, is seeking an exceptionally skilled and passionate Head of Engineering to lead the development and execution of our cutting-edge AI products and platforms tailored for finance professionals. This pivotal role demands an individual who is obsessed with security, highly proficient in data management, and expert in the latest AI/ML and LLM technologies.  
 
The ideal candidate will drive technical strategy, oversee cross-functional engineering teams, and collaborate closely with product and leadership to deliver AI solutions that maximize impact and value for our clients. A proven track record of building high-performance teams and AI-powered financial technologies is essential. 
 

What You’ll Do 
 

• Conduct user research with a focus on finance professionals and individuals working with complex data. Develop personas to represent the specific needs and pain points of AlphaNode’s target users.
  
• Design clear and intuitive interfaces for financial data, including charts, dashboards, and complex data visualizations that help users make sense of large datasets and/or complex disparate information.
  
• Create user flows and interaction patterns that integrate seamlessly with AlphaNode's AI copilots. Understand the unique design challenges that AI tools present, such as real-time user feedback and AI-human interaction paradigms.
  
• Focus on crafting user interfaces that cater to finance professionals who rely on financial tools to make critical decisions. Ensure that UI/UX elements reflect a deep understanding of finance workflows and terminology.
  
• Develop wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes for AI-driven finance tools, ensuring that designs are functional and aesthetically aligned with AlphaNode’s brand.
  
• Partner closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to ensure that the designs integrate seamlessly with the AI-driven functionality of AlphaNode’s platform.
  
• Conduct usability testing focused on how users interact with financial data and AI copilots, gathering insights and iterating on designs to improve the user experience.
  
• Build and maintain a design system that ensures consistency across AlphaNode’s products, especially in areas of data visualization, AI interaction, and finance-specific UI components.

 
Who You Are 
 

• You have experience working in the finance sector or a deep interest in markets, investing, and/or trading. Or, you have substantial experience with data-heavy applications and the design challenges of presenting complex information in a user-friendly way.

• Someone with a strong familiarity with designing AI-powered products is a significant plus.
  
• You should be able to handle the unique challenges of designing user interactions with AI copilots, including how to present recommendations, generate insights, and balance user control with AI automation.

• Strong proficiency in designing interfaces for platforms that involve large datasets, analysis tools, and decision-making processes. Experience with data visualization tools like D3.js, Tableau, or others is an asset.
  
• Able to work efficiently in an agile, fast-paced startup environment, where priorities may shift quickly, and rapid iteration is key. 
  
• Comfortable working through complex problems, especially those related to user workflows involving finance data and AI recommendations.
  
• You have exceptional English skills capable of communicating design rationale and collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly product managers, data scientists, and software engineers.
