Who You Are
Prowess is looking for a UI/UX designer who has experience working at the intersection of innovation and systems thinking as we integrate generative AI across all products and redefine how humans interact with software. UI and UX product design and Figma.
This is a four (4) month contract that requires you to work on-site, in the greater Seattle area. No third-party agencies, please.
The Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define user needs and product direction
- Prototype and test interaction models for agentic AI (autonomous agents, copilots, assistants)
- Create design systems and visual languages that scale across AI products
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
- Partner with engineering to deliver cross-platform UI libraries
- Design end-to-end experiences for AI-powered tools, from concept to polished UI
- Translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, human-centered interfaces
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working in product or service design
- A product designer who thinks systematically
- Must be proficient with Figma creating UI kits (working knowledge of Tokens, Variables, Variants, Prototyping, etc.)
- Excellent UI design skills with keen attention to visual details
- A desire to design for AI products and systems that transform how humans interact with computers
- Experience making product decisions driven by qualitative and quantitative information
- A portfolio of previous design work showcasing your skills required
- Must be willing and able to work in person on campus at our client’s office in Redmond, WA, up to 2 days per week.
- The pay range offered for this position is $40 – 45 per hour, DOE.
