UI/UX Design Intern
Duration: 3 to 6 months
Location: Bengaluru (In-office)
About the Role
We welcome students from design and visual communication backgrounds to intern with our design team as part of their academic internship requirement. Whether you are here for a summer internship, an industry internship, a graduation project, or simply exploring opportunities in the design field, you will work alongside experienced designers on real projects — getting hands-on exposure to UX, UI, and visual design in a professional product environment. Regardless of the internship type, you will work on real design problems, receive structured mentorship, and leave with a stronger portfolio and a clearer sense of what product design looks like in practice.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to end-to-end product design work — from understanding user problems and mapping flows to designing interfaces that are both functional and visually considered
- Think through design decisions in context — who the user is, what they are trying to do, and how the interface supports or hinders that
- Create visual assets and graphic design elements aligned with brand and design system guidelines
- Participate in design reviews and critique sessions, contributing your perspective and receiving structured feedback
- Support documentation and handoff preparation
- Explore AI-assisted design tools as part of day-to-day ideation and iteration
Who Should Apply
- Students currently enrolled in B.Des, B.FTech, BFA, or equivalent design programs
- Open to students from NIFT, NID, design schools, and visual communication programs
- Completion certificate and internship letter provided upon successful completion
What We Are Looking For
- A design portfolio or academic project work that shows you can think through a problem, not just style a screen
- Ability to connect visual decisions to user needs — why something is designed a certain way, not just how it looks
- Some awareness of product context — understanding that design exists within a larger product, business, and user ecosystem
- Basic understanding of UX principles — layout, hierarchy, user flows, and usability
- Graphic design sensibility — typography, colour, and visual composition
- Working knowledge of Figma or Adobe Creative Suite
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and iterate fast
What You Get
- Hands-on experience contributing to real product and client design challenges
- Mentorship from senior designers and design leads who care about craft and thinking equally
- Exposure to structured product design processes, critique culture, and professional design workflows
- A clearer sense of what it means to work as a product designer in a real team
- Internship completion certificate and letter for academic submission
Skills Required
- Currently enrolled in a B.Des, B.FTech, BFA, or equivalent design program
- Design portfolio or academic project work demonstrating problem-solving and design thinking
- Basic understanding of UX principles, including layout, hierarchy, user flows, and usability
- Graphic design sensibility, including typography, colour, and visual composition
- Working knowledge of Figma or Adobe Creative Suite
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and iterate quickly
