What You'll Do
The Fortnite Creator Platform team is looking for a User Interface (UI) Programmer who is experienced in C++ and gameplay systems and passionate about game development. In this role, you'll work on impactful UI systems, leveraging Verse and Scene Graph, that allow creators to build amazing experiences in Fortnite that thrill our players.
In this role, you will
- Implement, augment and maintain UI features and systems that underpin Fortnite Creative
- Solve technical challenges in the development of UEFN that will take Fortnite Creative experiences to the next level
- Work closely with art and design to ensure that UI systems meet aesthetic and functional requirements
- Look for ways to push the technology forward in new and innovative ways
- Deep-dive on various technical UI topics, ensuring that the architecture and code are robust and scalable
- Optimize and fix bugs in existing UI systems
- - Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development
What we're looking for
- Strong C++ skills and software programming principles
- A keen analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience developing UI features for gameplay systems across multiple platforms
- Interest in game development that elevates our creators
- Passion for games and great user experiences
- Unreal Engine development experience preferred
- Console and/or mobile experience preferred
