As a UI Engineer, you will be at the intersection of design and technology, responsible for developing engaging and user-friendly interface components for our games. You will collaborate closely with artists and designers to transform concepts into functional elements while ensuring optimal performance and a cohesive user experience.
Key Duties Include
- Implement and maintain user interface systems within the game engine, ensuring high-quality performance.
- Collaborate with design and art teams to create and optimise UI elements and components.
- Translate design mockups and prototypes into functional user interfaces.
- Optimise UI layouts for different screen sizes and resolutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot UI-related issues throughout the development process.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in UI development.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a UI Engineer or similar role in the gaming or tech industry.
- Proficient in C++ for UI development.
- Familiar with Unreal Engine.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for video games and keen attention to detail.
