The Role
Bottomline is seeing a Junior to Mid-Level UI Engineer to grow with us either remotely or in our Portsmouth, NH office!
Bottomline Technologies continues to deliver compelling user experiences built with modern UI technologies to large banks and financial institutions around the world. We are looking to add the right individual to our highly skilled Global UI Leadership and Development (GUILD) team. As a UI Engineer on this team, you’ll be primarily responsible for enhancing and improving Bottomline’s internal design system and component library.
How you'll contribute:
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of Bottomline’s internal design system
- Collaborate with product designers and UX specialists to refine component specifications and translate those designs into reusable UI components
- Support the adoption and implementation of the design system by product development teams
- Help to define and enforce Bottomline’s UI Engineering standards & best practices
- Participate in Code Reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge
- Create prototypes and proof of concepts to drive the future state of one of Bottomline’s platforms
What will make you Successful
- 2+ years of UI Development
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent studies in modern technologies
- Strong fundamentals of UI Development (HTML, CSS, JS).
- Strong with React ecosystem.
- Understanding of Web Accessibility (WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA). (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
- Willing and eager to learn and grow.
- Strong understanding of Responsive Design principles
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- In-depth knowledge of modern browsers including Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome
- Experience with Agile methodology a plus
- Strong communication skills are a must
- Ability to provide an online portfolio or live example of work (preferred)
