Role Description

• We are looking for a Senior UI Developer to work on a large-scale React and TypeScript monorepo powering multiple frontend applications and shared UI packages.
• This role is hands-on and suited for someone who is strong in improving existing codebases, building reusable UI components, and integrating frontend applications with backend services through GraphQL and REST APIs where needed. 
• You will work across application code and shared packages to deliver maintainable, scalable UI solutions.

Your key responsibilities

• Build, extend, and refactor user-facing features in existing React and TypeScript applications
• Create reusable UI components and shared frontend patterns that can be adopted across multiple apps
• Improve and maintain component quality, consistency, accessibility, and usability
• Work within a monorepo setup and contribute to shared packages used by multiple frontend applications
• Integrate frontend features with backend services using existing GraphQL/Apollo patterns
• Add or modify standalone REST API integrations where business needs require direct endpoint calls
• Translate UX or product requirements into robust, reusable, production-ready UI implementations
• Review and improve legacy or existing frontend code without introducing regressions
• Collaborate with backend developers, product owners, and designers to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Help define better frontend conventions for component reuse, state flow, API integration, and code maintainability
• Support performance, responsiveness, cross-browser behavior, and overall frontend reliability

Your skills and experience

• 10+ years of frontend engineering experience, with strong depth in modern UI development and spec driven development using AI tools
• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript in production environments
• Experienced in writing testable code with automated testing.
• Proven experience working in established codebases, not just greenfield projects
• Strong understanding of reusable component architecture and design-system-oriented development
• Experience building shared component libraries or contributing to common UI packages
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern frontend patterns
• Experience with state management in React applications
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs, including REST and GraphQL
• Ability to work confidently with existing code, trace flows, debug issues, and implement safe changes
• Familiarity with monorepo-based development workflows
• Strong attention to code quality, typing, maintainability, and developer ergonomics
• Experience with code reviews and mentoring other frontend developers

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with Apollo Client and GraphQL-heavy frontend applications
• Experience with Redux or similar state-management approaches
• Experience working in Turborepo, pnpm, or multi-package frontend workspaces
• Experience creating reusable internal UI kits or shared frontend platforms
• Familiarity with frontend build tooling and package-based architecture
• Experience with testing tools such as Vitest, Cypress, or Testing Library
• Strong understanding of accessibility and enterprise-grade UI requirements
• Experience working with Tailwind or utility-first styling approaches
• Experience in B2B, enterprise, or workflow-heavy frontend applications

• You are a strong senior frontend engineer who enjoys working in real codebases with real constraints.
• You can step into an existing monorepo, understand how applications and shared packages fit together, and deliver well-structured UI changes without unnecessary churn.
• You care about reusable components, clean TypeScript, pragmatic architecture, and integrating APIs cleanly into the user experience.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
