About the Role
Join Flinders University Rural and Remote Health as a UDRH Program Administration Assistant and play a key role in supporting student placements and education programs across rural and remote health initiatives. Based in Darwin, you will provide high-quality administrative and front-of-house support while working collaboratively with academic and professional staff to ensure the smooth delivery of program activities and events. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and customer-focused administrator who enjoys working in a dynamic and community-connected environment.
Coordinate administrative activities for student placements, short courses and education programs, including registrations, record management and participant communications.
Provide professional front-of-house support, responding to enquiries and assisting students, staff, visitors and community stakeholders.
Support the delivery of events, training and networking activities through venue coordination, catering arrangements and resource preparation.
Maintain program databases, manage documentation and contribute to the development of promotional and operational resources.

With strong communication and relationship-building skills, you can manage competing priorities, provide excellent customer service, and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders. You take initiative, have a keen eye for detail, and are committed to delivering high-quality support that contributes to positive outcomes for students, staff and the broader community.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience providing high-quality administrative support, including the use of administrative systems and Microsoft Office applications.
A collaborative and customer-focused approach, with sound judgement, problem-solving skills and experience supporting events, programs or service delivery activities.
Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT
At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory. We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health.
Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SA+NT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. A valid Northern Territory (NT) Driver’s License is an essential requirement of this position and must be maintained for the duration of employment.
