About the Role
The UCC / Lien Analyst supports the UCC / Lien Manager in executing and maintaining all aspects of the lien filing process, including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, terminations, subordinations, and lien inquiries. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant management of secured party records across all client portfolios.
The Analyst works directly within internal systems (CSS, ESP, and LienFlow) and external platforms (Wolters Kluwer), responding to inquiries, preparing documentation, and ensuring that filings and updates are completed in a timely and precise manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Lien Inquiry Inbox (HubSpot) for timely responses to stakeholders.
- Research UCC filing statuses and address inquiries related to filings and requests.
- Coordinate with clients on lien documentation and special handling needs.
- Maintain logs and documentation for case resolutions.
- Prepare subordination documents for review and approval.
- Verify lien details, including debtor information and collateral descriptions.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal UCC filing regulations.
- Support UCC filings and terminations under the UCC / Lien Manager's direction.
- Identify process bottlenecks and suggest automation or workflow improvements.
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements.
- Support client onboarding by preparing data templates and validating uploads.
- Provide feedback to the Manager on recurring issues and training needs.
Requirements
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in lien operations, UCC filings, loan servicing, or related financial services. Understanding of UCC processes, secured lending, and lien filing procedures.
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Technical Skills:
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
o Experience with vendor systems such as Wolters Kluwer or LienFlow preferred.
o Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and ticket tracking workflows. - ·Competencies:
o Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
o Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
o Professional communication skills with both clients and internal teams. - Ability to learn new systems and follow structured procedures.
