Position Summary:

The US Extension Marketing Specialist supports the growth and visibility of Charis US Extension Campuses through local marketing, communications, social media, and graphic design. This role partners with US Extension Campus Deans, Registrars, vendors, and the Charis Marketing team to strengthen each campus’s presence within its local community while maintaining consistent Charis branding across all US Extension Campuses.

Working alongside the Charis Marketing team, this position implements marketing campaigns, manages local communications, creates marketing assets, supports student recruitment efforts, and tracks campaign performance throughout the US Extension Campus network.

Essential Duties:

  • Create, schedule, and send email campaigns for US Extension Campuses.
  • Assist with prospective student nurture emails.
  • Promote campus classes, events, and enrollment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain healthy email lists.
  • Assist with email segmentation and list management.
  • Monitor email performance and recommend improvements.
  • Manage social media accounts for assigned US Extension Campuses through Sprout Social.
  • Create, schedule, and publish content on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and other assigned social media platforms.
  • Maintain a consistent posting schedule across all campuses.
  • Write engaging social media copy that reflects the Charis voice and brand.
  • Monitor engagement and respond appropriately when needed.
  • Identify opportunities to highlight student testimonies, campus life, and ministry impact.
  • Design and edit logos and create graphics as needed while following approved Charis brand standards.
  • Create graphics and production-ready files for signs, billboards, publications, social media, email, and other marketing avenues.
  • Interact with vendors as needed to request quotes, provide artwork and specifications, review proofs, and secure high-quality marketing assets.
  • Ensure marketing assets are accurate, professional, and prepared in the correct format for digital or print use.
  • Support US Extension Campuses with local organic marketing initiatives.
  • Assist campuses in promoting classes, enrollment periods, and community outreach opportunities.
  • Help develop marketing ideas that increase local awareness.
  • Encourage consistent execution of approved marketing campaigns throughout the US Extension Campus network.
  • Promote US Extension Campus events, including Charis Day, Open Houses, Preview Days, conferences, and other recruiting events.
  • Create promotional emails, social media campaigns, and marketing materials for local events.
  • Support campus marketing efforts before, during, and after events.
  • This role supports event marketing only and does not coordinate events or event logistics.
  • Work closely with US Extension Campus Deans and Registrars to understand local marketing needs.
  • Partner with the Charis Marketing team to maintain consistent branding, messaging, and marketing standards.
  • Share marketing best practices and resources with US Extension Campus leadership.
  • Assist with implementing new marketing initiatives across the US Extension Campus network.
  • Maintain marketing calendars and campaign schedules.
  • Organize digital marketing assets.
  • Maintain marketing campaign statistics within the U.S. Extension SharePoint.
  • Track email, social media, event promotion, and local marketing performance.
  • Compare campaign results year to year to help evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Support additional marketing projects as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and online collaboration tools.
  • Passion for ministry and the mission of Charis Bible College.

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • A Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

  • Experience with social media management platforms, preferably Sprout Social.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Kajabi or similar software.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphic design software.
  • Experience preparing artwork for signs, billboards, publications, or other print materials.
  • Experience coordinating with printers, sign companies, or other marketing vendors.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing principles.
  • Experience in ministry, nonprofit, or higher education marketing is preferred.
