The Opportunity
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of accurate US GAAP compliant financial statements and reports for all US entities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant US accounting standards, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for US operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with external auditors for US financial statements and internal controls, ensuring successful audit outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing US accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions for US entities, ensuring proper controls and processes are in place.
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations for US operations with global entities.
- Ensure proper accounting for fixed assets, leases, and other complex transactions.
- Design, implement, and monitor robust internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance) for US operations to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the accounting function, leveraging ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other financial tools.
- Drive best practices in accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the Tax department to ensure timely and accurate preparation of US federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Support the Treasury function with cash management, banking relationships, and working capital optimization for US operations.
- Act as a key financial business partner to US operational leaders, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for US operations.
- Provide support for special projects, M&A activities, and other strategic initiatives as required.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification is required. Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MSA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5-7 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role, preferably within a publicly traded company.
- Extensive experience with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Proven experience in a global manufacturing or technology company, preferably within the semiconductor industry, is highly desirable.
- Strong background in managing internal controls (SOX compliance).
- Expert proficiency with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong understanding of their accounting modules.
- Advanced Excel skills for complex financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP principles, including revenue recognition, inventory, and intercompany accounting.
- Experience with financial reporting software (e.g., Hyperion, BlackLine) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
