Foundry Production Supervisor
Location: Tyler, TX
Pay: Based on Experience
Shift Days: Monday–Friday
Shift Hours: Varies

What You’ll Do

  • Safety leadership & compliance: Champion a safe work environment; enforce PPE usage; maintain clean, orderly work areas; and ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Shift leadership & team supervision: Direct, coach, and develop hourly team members to meet daily safety, training, quality, culture, and production standards.
  • Production execution: Plan, prioritize, and coordinate work to meet schedule commitments and achieve efficient, economical run rates; manage labor cost per ton.
  • General operations oversight: Supervise and support production activities across melting, molding, finishing, and pipe operations. Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Quality assurance & continuous improvement: Maintain production and quality standards; recommend and assist in changing methods and processes to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Maintenance coordination: Partner with Maintenance to inspect, repair, and maintain equipment and machinery to optimize run times and minimize downtime.
  • Timekeeping & administrative control: Monitor and authorize team members’ time in the payroll system; complete required production logs and operational records.
  • Housekeeping and other duties: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area; perform other duties as assigned by department leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Four (4) or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of foundry operations (melting, molding, finishing, or pipe production) preferred but not required.
  • Secondary schooling in an engineering field is preferred but not required.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality; ability to work assigned shifts and be available for both 1st and 2nd shift as needed.
  • Ability to always wear required PPE and follow safety rules/procedures.
