Job Details

The TV Monitoring Department Supervisor reports to the Technical Client Service Manager and the General Manager, while overseeing the employees of the TV Monitoring Department. The role involves collaboration with all departments within Kantar Media Audiences Romania and represents the company in business-related interactions. The primary purpose of the position is to coordinate and supervise the department’s activities from both an administrative and technical perspective, ensuring smooth operations and providing support to optimize the department's performance.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Planning: The TV Monitoring Manager works closely with the Supervisors to establish the plan for data production. During peak periods or special situations, the TV Monitoring Manager determines staffing requirements to meet monitoring data production and delivery requirements.
  • Organisation and management: The TV Monitoring Manager distributes work tasks to supervisors who, in turn, assign them to operators. Final deadlines must be met. Potential problems or costs that may arise due to significant delays in data reporting must be resolved by the TV Monitoring Manager.
  • Training: training and coaching of shift leaders, Monitoring Client Service & Quality Control Manager and Monitoring Technical QC Manager.
  • Work standards planning developing procedures and work rules for operators and supervisors - Control and verification of the activity of operators and supervisors - Counselling and discipline communicates directly with operators and supervisors regarding their performance and behaviour.
  • Other HR activities: participates in the selection of candidates, recommends promotions and salary adjustments - Handles onboarding for new hires (update of internal files, WorkDay)
  • WorkDay relationship: review the leaves registrations, contracts extensions, job requisitions, validation of objectives in the PMR process, etc.
  • Preparation of timesheets for the Monitoring department, record of PH/overtime hours, granting of performance bonus when there is a budget, contract extension reports, recommendation bonus reports, activity report involving disciplinary problems, salary update reports for promotions
  • Recommends and assists in the implementation of new or revised procedures - Keeps in touch with the Kantar Media team in other countries.
  • Participates in periodic meetings with clients.
  • Continuous information on the changes or news that have appeared in the radio-TV field and the periodic information of the company's management on these changes, to avoid the negative impact on the implementation of the TV monitoring service offered.
  • Makes reports to the company's management regarding the activity carried out.
  • Consults with the TAM Manager and Client Service Manager to provide the necessary information in the key processes carried out. - Participates in quantitative data processing processes to meet deadlines.

Your profile and key skills we are looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience managing a department - A very good knowledge of audiovisual legislation
  • Skills and knowledge in performing complex and difficult tasks
  • The ability to plan, coordinate and supervise the work of other people
  • Good judgment in evaluating different situations and making quick decisions
  • Experience in managing budgets on cost centres and preparing specific reports
  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of data and information
  • Very good knowledge of the English language, written and spoken, to communicate within the Kantar Media.
