- Mill turn manufacturing experience is helpful.
- Manage tooling life, adjust, change offsets, and modify programs as needed.
- Interpret blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
- Follow Job requirements to set up fixturing, cutting tools, and other support equipment for machining of parts.
- General understanding of applying cutting tools for machining as well as calculating feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
- Ability to read and interpret CNC G- code and programming languages.
- Ability to understand and modify CNC work offsets, tool radius offsets, and other parameters for CNC toolpath.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other quality control devices, as well as use the measurements gathered to properly adjust program and tool parameters to achieve quality standards.
- Maintain machine preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
- Keep surrounding work area clean and organized.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+years’ experience setting up CNC lathe machines.
- Experience editing CNC machine programs and writing basic programs.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus but not required.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
