You collaborate with stakeholders to ensure our networks and infrastructure are operating efficiently and delivering value to our customers and ensuring optimal network availability.Job DescriptionRole Context: To provide technical field operational and engineering support for the California based network site infrastructure, products and services supplied and operated by Telstra.
Key Accountabilities:
- Share on call hours as a part of a team, and during this period be available to perform level 1& 2 support as directed by the Telstra NOC. They will also be responsible to carry out planned events and network augmentation at times specified by NOC or engineering groups during evening, night or weekend hours with a flexible work schedule.
- Assist with field based projects including installation and commissioning of hardware and cabling and updating systems.
- Perform site audits of records as instructed, suggest and implement process improvement projects focused on field operations.
- Support Telstra NOC’s and Engineering teams in the field to resolve network faults on all equipment types for all service types, whilst providing appropriate updates in the trouble ticketing system in a timely manner.
- Field based, independently complete all tasks associated with service provisioning in a timely manner to ensure KPI targets for service delivery can be met including the production of all associated documentation and updating of appropriate systems such as Service NOW (SNOW) and Veritas
- Routine maintenance of network and building environmental equipment.
- Liaise closely with other engineers within Telstra as well as in customer and suppliers.

- Telecom Experience as a requirement & be able to Understand circuit & Network Diagrams.
- Standard data center environment, requiring sitting, using standard computer, typing, reading documents, ladder work, working with laser technology, working with power and HVAC systems and test set / computer screens.
- This is a Los Angeles based role, and the successful candidate will need to be able to commute to the Los Angeles site on a regular basis
- Flexible work schedule driven by the business – may require evening and night calls with counterparts based in Australia and APAC.
- Occasional travel required
- Must be authorized to meet all applicable U.S. government security and employment eligibility requirements, including successfully passing any required U.S. Department of Homeland Security background screening. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
Salary Range:
96,200 – 132,000 USD + Eligible to receive 6% at-risk component
