As a Product Director in FX Payments, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. FX Payments is at JPMorgan’s core and one of our strategic areas of growth. FX Payments sits within the Treasury Services franchise and partners closely with JPMorgan’s Markets franchise for FX execution. The TSFX Product Management function focuses on the product development, and day to day management along with maintaining standards of risk mitigation and controls for the FX Payments product suite. The key objective is to ensure the business maintains client focused delivery of market viable, profitable and operationally supported solutions.
Job responsibilities
- Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
- Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
- Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
- Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
- Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
- Oversees the development of local foreign exchange payment solution, supporting our payment expansion program that will enable the bank to serve its multiple Multinational, Fintech and Large Corporate clients with needs to automate cross border payments in Latin America
- Develop a deep understanding of JPMorgan’s global systems, mechanics behind connectivity between TS and Markets’ infrastructure, devise, recommend and deliver efficient and varied methods of creating cross border solutions
- Collaborate with local regulators and policy makers, develop a deep understanding of local regulations, reporting requirements and seek necessary approvals, as and when required
- Anticipate internal and external factors impacting cross border payments business locally and implementing plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
- Have a firm grip on competition and industry initiatives by developing local market knowledge and participating in industry events and seminars
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Fluent in English, and Spanish and/or Portuguese
- 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
- Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
- Extensive proven experience on Latin America FX Market, inclusive of Regulations, Technologies and Business Model trends with understanding of different payment networks/clearing systems and channels in cross border payments business
- A thoughtful manager who can oversee a team and drive meaningful results
- Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
- Superior organizational and communication skills to deal with complex projects requiring thorough analysis and leading/coordinating multiple resources and assets
