Primary Job Responsibilities
- Lead the physical setup of new VMI sites, including space planning, bin labeling, product stocking, and material organization.
- Work hands-on in warehouse environments to ensure inventory is accurately placed, counted, and documented.
- Partner with internal teams to coordinate infrastructure setup and initial deliveries for new locations.
- Provide on-site training and support for customers and branch associates on VMI ordering and operations.
- Serve as a customer-facing representative, ensuring clear communication and a positive experience throughout the implementation process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues quickly to avoid delays in material availability.
- Ensure a smooth transition from setup to daily operations by preparing sites for ongoing service.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate customer needs, including extended hours and periods of heavy travel.
- Work independently in the field, taking ownership of tasks and delivering results with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Warehouse experience, including material handling and organizing
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally or nationally as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in warehouse environments
- Flexibility to travel heavily (up to 100% during new site implementations)
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or supply chain
- Distribution and/or wholesale experience
- HVAC, plumbing, or building products knowledge
- Experience with RF scanners or ERP systems
