Responsibilities:
- Set up and run tribology test equipment.
- Provide tribology support to RD, Sales, and QC in dealing with customer complaints topics and custom testing to solve equipment specific issues.
- Optimize tribological test methods and enrich the tribological know-how of Kluber.
- Carry out component failure analysis.
- Complete appropriate testing on prepared samples.
- Ensure all necessary Kluber documentation is completed for experiments and test results.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of tribology tests and equipment
Qualifications:
- BS or higher Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field
- 1-5 years work experience in an Development or Tribological testing environment
- Experience with tribology test rigs preferred (lubricant specific ASTM/DIN)
- Practical experience with bearings, gears, chains or other industry components preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong organizational skills
- Protective Equipment to be used on the job:
- Mask/Safety Glasses
- Filter Respirator
- Gloves
- Steel Toe Shoes
