As part of our quality management team, you'll help assist the Clinical Quality Analyst with multiple aspects of quality of care (QOC) investigation which includes management of the regulatory Incident/Accident/Death (IAD) portal, opening and managing cases in the internal QOC data base, triaging cases and initiating medical record retrieval based upon clinical judgement. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of (8:00am - 5:00pm MST). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. The position requires a minimum onsite presence of once every six weeks for meetings and office related work. Onsite requirements are subject to change based on business needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and triage QOC referrals from internal and external sources
- Create and maintain confidential electronic investigation files for QOC cases
- Create and manage entries into the regulatory IAD portal
- Initiate medical record requests for QOC investigations based upon clinical nursing judgement
- Collaborate internally with Clinical Quality Analysts and staff in other UHCCP departments
- Manage multiple tasks and projects and changing priorities; prioritize work products effectively

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare quality, clinical operations, case management, regulatory compliance, or a related healthcare field
- Experience with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word (ability to open, edit, save and send documents), Microsoft Excel (ability to work with multiple databases to retrieve and enter information)
- The position requires a minimum onsite presence of once every six weeks for meetings and office related work. Onsite requirements are subject to change based on business needs
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of (8:00am - 5:00pm MST)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted LPN license
- 2+ years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Experience working in a deadline driven environment prioritizing responsibilities
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations

- Reside within commutable distance to the office at 1 East Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $24 - $43 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
