Key responsibilities:
· Managing Treasury Systems: Implementing and maintaining a treasury management system (TMS) to track cash positions, manage bank accounts, automate payment processes, and assist in monitor financial risks across the organization.
· Compliance Oversight: Monitoring adherence to financial regulations, sanctions compliance, and internal controls related to treasury activities. Example maintenance of DACA's and cash movement flow charts.
· Risk Management: System improvements for risk management - centralize information to assist with identifying potential financial risks like interest rate changes, and liquidity issues within the treasury function and implementing mitigation strategies.
· Reporting and Analysis: Generating regular reports on cash management, investment performance, and compliance metrics to inform decision-making.
· Auditing and Controls: Performing internal audits of treasury processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Example process flow-charts and master account schedules with corresponding agreements.
· Bank Relationship Management: Assist with negotiating terms with banks and managing banking relationships to optimize cash management strategies. Additionally, becoming the admin for online banking portal management.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with other departments like accounting, finance, and operations to ensure alignment with overall financial objectives and compliance requirements.
Key aspects:
· Understanding of Treasury functions: Staying updated treasury operations and how they impact stakeholders.
· Technical expertise in TMS: Proficient in using treasury management software to manage cash flow, investments, and reporting functions.
· Analytical skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends to inform decision-making.
· Compliance knowledge: Understanding of internal control frameworks and best practices for ensuring compliance with regulations.
