Position Overview

The Treasury Services Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the treasury services function, including proposals, account analysis, customer implementations, and other project related work. This individual will help to coordinate work within the department as well as with other departments. The Treasury Services Specialist will respond to inquiries or requests for information from internal and external customers and report pertinent information to department management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs account analysis of products and customer relationships, including profit/loss modules and risk assessments.
  • Assists with developing treasury services business proposals.
  • Manages operations for the CDARS and ICS programs; acts as a contact person for the programs; obtains rates; performs account opening, closing, and maintenance; mails monthly statements; communicates with customers on renewals.
  • Adheres to training and documented procedures in fulfilling the products and services related to treasury services.
  • Develops an understanding of the core processing system and any ancillary modules required to support treasury services.
  • Ensures the treasury services products and services are being delivered to customers efficiently and effectively.
  • Reviews treasury services refund requests; makes recommendations to Treasury Services Officer and processes refunds as appropriate.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of treasury services products, services systems, and procedures, as well as an awareness of trends and new developments in the field of treasury services.
  • Assists in promoting treasury services.
  • Works closely with customers and sales staff during sales and implementation of requested products and services.
  • Assists new and existing customers with answering questions and providing needed instructions for services such as Remote Deposit Capture, Online Banking, ACH, Wire, and additional service needs as they occur.
  • Incorporates new offerings into the company products and services offered to existing and prospective customers.
  • Provides customer service to our internal sales team and our external customers through the complete phase of the relationship from initial sale to existing customer support.
  • Works closely with treasury services sales team to develop an understanding of how products and services work and how we can meet individual customer needs.
  • Designs, prepares and completes reports to track services and critical information.
  • Prepares quarterly top depositor report.
  • Processes remote deposit audit requests.
  • Manages monthly treasury services reviews and corrects invalid email addresses.
  • Monitors CIP and Missing Documents Log; works with Treasury Services Officer to clear items.

Education & Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in a business curriculum. Some college or degree preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in related positions is normally required.

Skill(s)

Proficient reading, writing, grammar, mathematics, and analytical skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient PC skills including word processing, data entry, and spreadsheets; ability to exercise sound judgment regarding routine matters and know when to escalate issues; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less; visual, auditory and speaking skills; valid driver’s license is required.

Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
