Overview

The Treasury Premier Implementation Officer serves as a dedicated onboarding, implementation, and customer support specialist for United Community's largest Commercial and Middle Market customers. Working closely with the Regional Treasury Solutions Officer (RTSO), this role is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and supporting treasury management solutions while delivering a seamless customer experience throughout the onboarding lifecycle and beyond.


The Treasury Premier Implementation Officer acts as a primary point of contact for treasury product implementation, service enhancements, and ongoing customer support, ensuring successful adoption of treasury solutions and fostering long-term customer satisfaction. This position partners with Treasury Sales, Relationship Managers, Operations, Product Management, and Technology teams to provide white-glove service to the Bank's premier business customers.

What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for the account opening process for Commercial and Middle Market customers, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding.
  • Assist in resolving account-opening exceptions, documentation deficiencies, and onboarding-related issues.
  • Serve as a trusted treasury management resource for United Community's largest and most strategically important customers.
  • Deliver a high-touch service model focused on responsiveness, accuracy, and exceptional customer experience.
  • Manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously while meeting established service-level agreements and timelines.
  • Monitor implementation progress and proactively address obstacles, risks, or delays.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex treasury-related service requests.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and RTSOs to support annual relationship reviews and customer retention efforts.
  • Manage onboarding activities from initial kick-off through successful implementation and customer adoption.
  • Develop implementation plans, timelines, and communication strategies tailored to customer needs.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand workflows, payment processes, and operational requirements.
  • Facilitate treasury solution setup, testing, validation, training, and go-live activities.
  • Compliance Training: Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.

Requirements For Success
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent banking and treasury management experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Treasury Management, Commercial Banking, Cash Management Operations, or related financial services roles. 
  • Experience implementing treasury management products for business customers required. 
  • Experience working with commercial and middle-market customers is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated project management and customer relationship experience.
  • Required Skills: 
    • Strong knowledge of treasury management products, services, and payment systems. 
    • Understanding of ACH, wire transfers, online banking platforms, fraud mitigation tools, and cash management solutions. 
    • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills. 
    • Strong project management, organizational, and time management abilities. 
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. 
    • Ability to analyze business processes and recommend solutions. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management platforms. 
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple business units.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Familiarity with CRM, project management, and workflow management systems utilized within a banking environment.
    • Strong understanding of online banking administration, user entitlements, treasury management system configuration, and customer onboarding workflows.
    • Experience with commercial and treasury management banking platforms, including Q2, Fiserv, and related digital banking solutions.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have any direct reports. 


Working Environment and Physical Demands:

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, and printers.

Position requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.


Travel: This position requires up to 25% travel.
