About the Role
The Treasury & Operations Associate is at the center of altbanq's daily financial operations. You'll help manage cash, fund deals, set up repayments, maintain accurate investment records, and keep our books clean across our operating accounts.
This is a hands-on role for someone early in their career who wants real responsibility from day one. You'll work directly with leadership and our external accountants, learn how a specialty lender runs day to day, and take on more ownership as you grow.
Why This Role Matters
- You keep cash moving. Bank reconciliation, deal funding, repayments, and commissions all run through this seat.
- You keep the books clean. Accurate, reconciled records let our external accountants close each month smoothly.
- You keep us organized. Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual deadlines across finance, operations, and compliance depend on your follow-through.
- You help keep us compliant. You'll support state licensing and regulatory filings and learn the compliance side of lending.
What You'll Do
- Review bank accounts and the daily cash position, and fund new deals
- Set up and manage repayments in Salesforce, including payment adjustments and refunds
- Maintain accurate investment and participation records on funded deals, including renewal funding amounts
- Process scheduled payments and commission payments
- Review and pay company invoices
- Perform regular bookkeeping across multiple bank accounts and prepare information for our external accountants
- Track company credit card expenses and other liabilities
- Maintain and improve weekly and monthly reports and trackers
- Support state license renewals, Secretary of State filings, NMLS Mortgage Call Reports, and NMLS and DFPI annual reports
- Help prepare annual 1099s
- Back up the processing and operations teams as needed
What You Bring to the Table
- 1–3 years of experience in finance operations, treasury, bookkeeping, or accounting. Specialty finance, lending, or fund administration experience is a plus.
- Solid accounting fundamentals and a strong eye for detail
- Comfort handling high transaction volume accurately
- Strong Excel skills; Salesforce experience is a plus
- Discretion with sensitive financial data
- Organization and follow-through across recurring daily, weekly, monthly, and annual deadlines
- Curiosity and a desire to grow into a larger finance or operations role
Preferred Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $90,000–$120,000, depending on experience, plus bonus eligibility based on company performance.
