Treasury Operations Analyst IV - Collateral Management & Liquidity Reporting (Hybrid in Buffalo, NY)

Overview:Independently leads projects within or across one or more functional areas of Treasury Operations and represents the Department (COE) in enterprise-wide projects. Supports collateral management, liquidity readiness, regulatory reporting, data governance, and process improvement activities critical to the Bank's funding and liquidity risk management programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce highly complex departmental reports and spreadsheets, including project or product strategy analyses, historical reporting, work flow analyses and financial analyses for one or more functional areas of Treasury Operations.
- Conduct highly complex analysis and judgment-based work over a standard discipline or a range of disciplines to support Treasury Operations decisions.
- Conduct highly complex data review, research, and/or reconciliation for assigned areas of Treasury Operations.
- Lead the drafting and editing of procedures related to one or more functional areas of Treasury Operations.
- Lead support provided for departmental audits including regulatory examinations, user certifications, and compliance testing for Treasury Operations.
- Manage and facilitate the planning, testing and implementing of new projects, systems, products and regulatory changes impacting assigned Treasury Operations team(s).
- Lead departmental system support, coordinating with internal business partners, external vendors and Technology to address issues for assigned Treasury Operations team(s).
- Provide business and functional system expertise to colleagues within one or more functional areas of Treasury Operations or the entire COE.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned
- Support collateral management activities, including analysis, reporting, optimization initiatives, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders related to secured funding and liquidity programs.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience, OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ related experience

Knowledge of banking, finance, treasury, liquidity management, or regulatory reporting concepts.

Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying data quality issues.
Experience leading projects, initiatives, or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders.
Experience drafting procedures, controls, audit documentation, or operational process documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently research, analyze, and resolve issues.
Experience communicating technical, operational, or analytical information to business and technology partners.
Prior experience in Treasury Operations, collateral management, loan pledging, liquidity management, FHLB, Federal Reserve Discount Window, or secured funding programs.
Experience with commercial, consumer, residential mortgage, HELOC, construction, or commercial real estate loan products.
Experience supporting audits, examinations, regulatory reporting, compliance testing, or control functions.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, SQL, Python, VBA, or similar analytics and automation tools.
Experience with data quality, reporting governance, process optimization, or process automation initiatives.
Project management experience, including requirements gathering, testing, and implementation support.
Experience partnering with business and technology teams on process enhancements or system implementations.
