Job Purpose
The Treasury Intern will support the Treasury team in daily banking administration, cross-border payment documentation, IFB (Intra-Group Financing & Borrowing) initiatives, and iSHIFT account operations. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across Treasury's core processes, contributing to the smooth functioning of Sanofi's global cash and financing operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Administrative Tasks
- Draft and prepare routine banking documentation and correspondence to support day-to-day Treasury operations.
- Maintain organized records of banking communications and administrative files.
- Card card program maintenance
- Support ad hoc requests from the Treasury team to ensure timely turnaround of operational tasks.
2. Payment Documentation
- Prepare and review cross-border payment documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and banking partners to resolve payment documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain awareness of evolving cross-border payment regulations relevant to Sanofi's operating markets.
3. IFB Financing Project Support
- Perform foundational data analysis in support of Intra-Group Financing & Borrowing (IFB) initiatives.
- Assist in compiling, organizing, and validating financial data used in IFB-related decision-making.
- Support the Treasury team in tracking project milestones and deliverables related to IFB financing activities.
4. iSHIFT Account Analysis
- Provide analytical support for iSHIFT account operations, including reconciliation, testing, and reporting activities.
- Identify and help resolve discrepancies in account reconciliations within the iSHIFT system.
- Support testing cycles (e.g., UAT, system enhancements) related to iSHIFT Treasury functionality and documentation of findings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in Treasury, banking operations, or financial administration preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in documentation and reconciliation tasks.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP/Treasury systems (e.g., iSHIFT/SAP) is a plus.
