Role Type: 3-Month Paid Internship → Full-Time (Performance-Based)
The Treasury Officer supports the day to day Treasury operations of the business. The role is responsible for monitoring cash balances, processing funding and settlement activities, completing reconciliations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting Treasury reporting. The Treasury Officer ensures all activities are completed accurately, on time, and in line with Treasury policies, procedures, and control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily cash balances, bank accounts, and funding requirements.
  • Prepare and process funding instructions within the required bank and currency cut-off times.
  • Support FX deal execution and ensure all transaction details are recorded accurately.
  • Process local and international wires in line with approved procedures.
  • Support the allocation of funds to banks, partners, and operational accounts.
  • Monitor pending transactions, settlements, and bank confirmations.
  • Follow up with banks, partners, and internal teams to resolve pending or failed transactions.
  • Prepare daily bank and operational reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and transaction exceptions within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure all entries are processed under the required maker-checker or four-eye control.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records, supporting documents, and system entries.
  • Prepare daily Treasury reports, cash updates, settlement status reports, and other management information as required.
  • Monitor bank charges, payment costs, and transaction fees, and report any exceptions.
  • Identify and report cash shortages, funding gaps, settlement issues, control concerns, and operational risks promptly.
  • Support the maintenance of the incident log and ensure incidents are reported on time.
  • Ensure all Treasury activities are completed in line with approved policies, procedures, limits, and control standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of bank details, financial information, and Treasury data.
  • Support cross-training and provide cover for other Treasury Operations team members when required.
  • Assist with Treasury projects, audits, system testing, and process-improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (Graduation) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in Treasury, Banking, Finance Operations, Payments, or a similar financial services role (fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may also be considered).
  • Basic understanding of Treasury Operations, Cash Management, Bank Reconciliations, Fund Settlements, and International Payments.
  • Knowledge of Foreign Exchange (FX) transactions and payment processing is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AML/KYC/KYB principles and financial controls is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to operational accuracy and compliance.

Skills Required
