A Day in the LifeThe Treasury Analyst is part of an International Treasury Team, and consists of the different regions Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Latin-America (LatAm), Canada, Asia Pacific (APAC) and Greater China (GC).The Treasury Analyst operates within a set of guidelines covering the different aspects of the Treasury function. Thereby interacting with Corporate Treasury, Tax, Medtronic’s banking partners, businesses, global finance teams, Legal and suppliers. You have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, are flexible and stress resistant. You are a self-starter and act with integrity. You can work in a complex, dynamic and fast changing environment, and have a continuous improvement mindset. As a strong communicator you are accurate and can also think out of the box.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Analyze and forecast short-term cash requirements and flows, and assist in intercompany dividend repatriation across jurisdictions
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, evaluate, and execute funding solutions, ensuring efficient financing structures and enabling global cash mobilization
- Prepare overviews for quarterly Board Meetings and present in Credit Committee meetings, explaining intercompany lending activities and credit risk strategy
- Leverage technology for tracking and publishing reference materials, maintain process documentation, and support audit activities
- Ensure compliance with Medtronic’s Worldwide Finance Policies and resolve compliance, transaction, and system issues with banking partners
- Contribute to the development and oversight of customer financing and payment solutions
- Participate in treasury, tax, and finance-related initiatives including M&A integrations, SAP deployments, divestitures, and banking studies
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- BS or BA in Finance/Accounting with 0-3 years working experience in finance or in a similar role within a corporate environment is required
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skill
- Skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling
- Business knowledge of cash management and banking in international (cash) pooling
- Experience in an international company or shared services
Knowledge of (US GAAP) Accounting, SAP and Treasury Management System (Reval) and experience in FX risk management and cash forecasting are considered an advantage for this role.
