About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Treasury Analyst to support the preparation of forecast and interest rate risk analytics and reporting for use by senior management to evaluate the company's balance sheet and NII forecast.
Treasury at Wells Fargo is a dynamic team that is responsible for managing Wells Fargo's balance sheet including capital, liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk management. Treasury seeks to ensure Wells Fargo always maintains sufficient capital and liquidity resources to support growth in the Company's businesses, while also ensuring a satisfactory financial cushion exists to protect against unforeseen stresses in the economic environment or the Company's operations. Treasury also provides regulators, senior leaders, and the Board of Directors with key information to support risk management, financial performance management, and strategic planning
Balance Sheet and Interest Rate Risk (BSIRRM) Group performs quantitative analysis of the balance sheet behavior and has primary responsibility to measure interest rate risk (IRR) and design corresponding risk mitigation strategies. Employees oversee the IRR simulation models, provide management with insight concerning changes that they see in the risk profile, and contribute to the generation of risk management strategies.
In this role, you will:
- Engage in the balance sheet forecasting efforts for commercial loan and capital markets products, in support of the broader forecast process for Monthly 9Q forecast, IRR, Stress Testing, Resolution & Recovery Planning, Back testing and other strategic initiatives
- Validate model input and output, research and reconcile forecast results, to ensure both model-driven and Line of Business-driven inputs are correctly reflected in forecasting results such as balance, yield, net interest income, COF etc.
- Develop a good understanding of commercial loan and capital market products, as well as model assumptions, management judgement and other drivers used to build balance sheet, Net Interest Income (NII) forecast and valuation
- Support ongoing transformation efforts to improve and automate processes and work independently to ensure accurate recurring deliverables are completed timely through execution of controlled processes
- Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management and Model Governance teams
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or some other quantitative field.
- Knowledge and understanding of bank balance sheet products
- Experience in balance sheet forecasting and/or interest rate risk analysis
- Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment, learn quickly, detail-oriented
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
Job Expectations:
- HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE: 3 days/week in a location posted and 2 days/week remote
