Treasury Analyst

Groupon’s corporate treasury team is based in Chicago and London and has overall responsibility for global treasury activities. The treasury team works closely with banks and Groupon internal stakeholders like accounting, payroll, merchant payments, tax, and other finance departments.
The Treasury Analyst plays a critical role in the daily cash management and bank account administration of the company, and will have the opportunity to work on various projects to improve cash flow forecasting, streamline bank account structures and improve processes and procedures.

This role is based in Chicago and will require two days per week in the office.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

• Update and reconcile the cash flow forecast

• Create cash flow actual & variance reports

• Execute intercompany netting transactions

• Perform bank account administration such as adding and deleting users, opening and closing accounts, and updating bank signers

• Coordinate company activities relating to banking. Evaluates bank services and fees, monitors bank performance and recommends appropriate actions

• Manages cash accounts and moving available funds to execute needed payments 

• Respond to internal and external audit and ad-hoc requests

• Working collaboratively with other departments by timely responding to queries

• Assist with annual FBAR reporting

• Assist with various treasury projects

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years’ experience in a treasury, finance or accounting role

• Previous experience with Kyriba treasury workstation will be a plus

• Familiarity with bank portals

• Excellent communication skills, strong organization and time management skills

• Zealous attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet expected deadlines

• Strong analytical skills

• Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets

• Proactiveness and ownership
