About the Role:

The Remitly Treasury Team is uniquely positioned in the center of processing Remitly’s global transaction flows, with responsibility over FX inventory purchases and delivery of funds to destination partners for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience needed to assist our ongoing efforts to build out and manage a scalable and efficient global Treasury FX trading and funding function. You Will:

• Generate FX trade recommendations and execute trades to enhance local liquidity, minimize FX costs, and manage FX exposure effectively.

• Execute daily forecasting process to determine FX receipts and FX funding needed (by country/partner) in disbursement network for $10+ billion annualized transaction volumes in over 100 different currencies

• Leverage artificial intelligence to streamline workflows, build analytics, and generate decision making funding and trading strategies.

• Execute and confirm foreign exchange (FX) trades on behalf of Remitly with precision.

• Implement risk management strategies utilizing both cash and derivatives.

• Foster and maintain liquidity relationships while collaborating closely with the business development team.

• Partner with data analytics to establish key metrics and reporting frameworks.

• Conduct analysis and reporting of FX trading and funding activities in relation to established targets.

• Monitor and enhance a comprehensive set of policies to create a robust internal control environment that safeguards assets and reduces the risk of errors.

• Identify, propose, and support the implementation of innovative technologies, products, and services designed to improve FX trading and funding, in collaboration with a dedicated treasury engineering team.

• Acquire and synthesize complex datasets to support recommendations and conclusions to treasury leadership

You Have:

• 2+ years of solid global treasury foreign exchange management experience

• Understanding of FX markets and trade lifecycles

• Strong understanding of accounting processes and concepts

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field

• Experience using foreign exchange trading systems (i.e. Bloomberg, FXGO, FXALL)

• Profession certification (CFA, CTP, or CPA) a plus
