Treasury Accountant - Hybrid

Role Overview:

The Treasury Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the Treasury Accounting team’s strategy, growth, and innovation. You are a key contributor who brings experience and attention to detail in partnering with our treasury, global accounting, technical accounting, and financial reporting teams to deliver accurate and timely accounting documentation and analysis. You will own general ledger record-to-report activities in treasury accounting and other areas consistent with US generally accepted accounting principles and company policies.
This is a remote position; however you will be required to be onsite at our Frisco, TX office occasionally. We will only consider candidates who are a commutable distance to Frisco or Dallas and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About The Role:
•    Partner with Treasury and shared service center accounting teams to gather, prepare, and maintain adequate supporting documentation for journal entries consistent with US GAAP and company policies to ensure monthly and quarterly financial statement close timelines are met in areas such as:
o    Cash clearing transactions related to debt, cash equivalents, hedging instruments, general insurance, cash-in-transit, and other
o    Debt accounting (ASC 470)
o    Hedge accounting (ASC 815)
o    Prepaid insurance
o    Escheatment
•    Perform period-end close and reporting activities for Treasury-related areas, including preparation of income statement and balance sheet analytics, balance sheet reconciliations, external reporting schedules, and external audit support
•    Periodically assess and update desk procedures and process flows to maximize efficiency while maintaining internal controls over critical processes
•    Maintain flexibility to participate in cross training and to assist with coverage of other accounting areas from time to time on an as-needed basis
•    Assist with updates to Treasury accounting policies and technical accounting memos as needed

About You:
•    At least 3 years (we’d love more!) of progressive accounting experience required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
•    Experience with accounting for debt (ASC 470) and derivatives (ASC 815) a plus
•    Experience with writing technical accounting memos
•    BA/BS/BBA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
•    Advanced Excel knowledge; can manipulate large amounts of data, pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas
•    Experience with large scale ERP system, preferably Workday, SAP, or Kyriba
•    Strong project management skills: work independently to interpret and organize information and collaborate with teams to reach accurate conclusions
•    Demonstrate a high degree of integrity and ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
•    Adept team player with a positive, professional attitude who is committed to meeting strict close and reporting deadlines
