The is responsible for managing the Bank's balance sheet to achieve sustainable growth, profitability, and solvency. This role coordinates correspondent banking relationships and collaborate with all areas of the Bank to ensure that our customers have good products and services.

  • Oversees the institution's liquidity portfolio, borrowings, investment analyses and other financial affairs. Balance Sheet Management ensures sustainable growth, profitability, and solvency. Manage wholesale loan purchase for the Bank.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial and Retail Banking through product development, Correspondent Banking products, Relationship pricing and Cash Management.
  • Executes all purchases and sales of all primary and secondary liquidity securities. Manage the Bank's collateral, Fed positions and liquidity ratios.
  • Manage, expand, and support wholesale funding products to enhance the Bank's funding capabilities at the lowest possible costs.
  • Investment Portfolio Management: $1b to $2b investment in various complex asset classes; collateral support; duration target; cash flows and investment income needs, $50mm to $100mm BOLI investment management and monitoring, support OTTI and Fair value analysis on existing holdings.
  • Management IRR and FX Products including interest rate risk balance sheet and customer swap programs. Educate Bankers and market to customers on derivative products.
  • Establishes and maintains a cash management program that optimizes the institution's cash management practices with its various correspondent banking relationships.
  • Analyzes and submits to senior management various asset and liability strategies as potential new areas of capital growth and development.
  • Ensure that the financial institution's reserves meet legal requirements.
  • Oversee Asset and liability Management (ALCO), Wholesale Borrowings, Liquidity, Capital Markets including FX business, Capital Planning, Capital Stress Testing, Share Repurchase Program, Gov't Guarantee Loan Trading and Servicing Asset Oversight and management of the loan and deposit pricing products.
  • Manage the government guaranteed loan sales business. Monitor and analyze loan pipeline and inventory. Monitor opportunities to protect Servicing Asset Valuation through various hedge strategies.
  • Directs special projects and assignments related to financial decisions.
  • Manage all Treasury related operations.
  • Ensure all internal and external audits are satisfactory. Meet all regulatory requirements to support strong CAMEL ratings.
  • Supervises personnel assigned to the department.

  • Experience working in a bank or financial institution with an asset size of $10 billion or greater - highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field. Master's Degree, preferred
  • 10+ plus years of financial experience including all Treasury related functions.
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend financial statements, as well as grasp the impact of financial information.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals; comprehend technical procedures, government regulations and reports; and apply the information as needed to rectify negative situations for the financial institution.
  • Highly developed proficiency in change management.
  • Be a strategic thinker with the ability to develop, communicate and implement plans that support the overall goals of the Bank.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to identify, understand and define problems, evaluate alternatives, set priorities, manage projects, and implement high quality solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to directly manage and communicate multiple projects and priorities depending on organizational needs and strategies.
  • Possess strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Byline Bank offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
