Position Summary
We are seeking a versatile Travel Ultrasound Technologist to support medical primary care offices throughout Georgia and the Piedmont region. The technologist will travel to designated clinic locations and provide a variety of diagnostic imaging and screening services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound and diagnostic imaging services in primary care settings.
- Travel between assigned medical offices throughout Georgia and the Piedmont region.
- Perform and/or assist with:
- Echocardiograms
- General ultrasound imaging
- Diabetic eye examinations/retinal screening
- Vascular and other diagnostic imaging as applicable
- Preventive and chronic-care screening services
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Ensure equipment is properly operated, maintained, and transported.
- Follow applicable clinical, safety, privacy, and infection-control standards.
- Communicate findings and technical information appropriately with providers.
- Dedicate 1 day per week to administrative duties, scheduling, documentation, quality assurance, equipment coordination, and related responsibilities.
- Work independently while collaborating with primary care providers and clinical staff.
Qualifications
- Current certification/licensure appropriate to the imaging services performed.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple types of diagnostic imaging, particularly ultrasound and echocardiography.
- Experience with diabetic eye exams/retinal screening is strongly preferred.
- Broad knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, equipment, patient positioning, and safety protocols.
- Ability to travel throughout Georgia and the Piedmont region.
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work independently in multiple medical-office environments.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
