Job Summary:
The Travel Analyst (TA) coordinates and makes travel and lodging arrangements for unaccompanied children (UC) and escorts (Transportation Specialists- TS) in support of reunifications or transfers between government facilities. The Travel Analyst is responsible for evaluating flight travel time for each UC movement and for selecting the most expeditious, efficient, and cost-effective transport with the goal of minimizing UC travel time. The Travel Analyst is responsible for flight bookings, itineraries, routing, and associated bookings (hotel, rental car, etc.) for both the escort and escorted UC as well as inputting transportation requests into the company’s scheduling system; identifying the correct number and gender of available Transportation Specialists (TS) and confirming TS availability in conjunction with management and field while maintaining enough flexibility to meet project demands.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

Receives and reviews transportation requests for accuracy to transport minors from ORR programs and facilities.

Schedules transportation of unaccompanied children so that bookings are completed within 24 hours after receiving the transportation request from government (via ORR programs and/or facilities).

Utilizes the company’s scheduling system/travel database to search for available flights, seats and routes and works in conjunction with the corporate travel partner to book flights, lodging and supporting ground transportation.

Works with management to identify appropriately trained and available transportation specialists, communicates transport requirement(s) to them upon assignment, confirms their bookings, and provides TS’s with office report date and time.

Aids in changing and/or canceling flights, provides TS with travel-related information, and remains aware of travel-related information that may cause delays or prevent flight connections from occurring and communicates this information to the TS in route.

Makes last-minute travel arrangements or cancellations due to inclement weather or other travel emergencies.

Ensures accurate transportation itinerary information is available to all necessary staff and stakeholders. Provide superior customer service by answering phones, emails and texts and returning contact and answers in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned.

May be assigned to overnight, weekends, or holiday shifts to support 24/7/365 operations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

Possess an associate degree from an accredited college or a high school diploma with two (2) or more years of relevant experience.

Minimum two (2) years of documented experience in a field related to transportation, travel, business, social work, or similar occupational area.

Experience making accommodations for large groups.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with different departments within the company, employees and with clients.

Ability to take technical direction and feedback from various sources.

Committed to providing outstanding customer service and representing MVM in a professional manner.

Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance.

Favorable credit check for all cleared positions.

Successfully pass a background investigation, drug screen.

May be required to pass or present specific requirements depending on the program (i.e. DOT exam, vaccinations, CPR, flu shot).

US Citizenship, Permanent Residency depending on the program.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.
Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time.
Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time, must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Fine Motor Skills/Dexterity: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
