The Transporter will possess a thorough understanding of Utility Worker functions. Under the guidance of Production Managers, Supervisors, and Leads, the Transporter will be responsible for moving and scanning items between locational bins using a scan gun to ensure 100% accuracy and accountability. Additionally, the Transporter will assist with inventory management and other warehouse tasks as needed and will receive forklift training.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Forms and loads shipping cartons; manually stacks and moves cased products.
  • Provides logistical support for all production and packaging activities.
  • Stacks and pallets products for the finish-packaging line.
  • Scans and moves products, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods using a scanner from one bin location to another.
  • Assists in transporting items under the direction of the Associate Plant Manager, Production Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and Production Assistants.
  • Understands and works safely with heavy equipment, including but not limited to various pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and forklifts.
  • Conducts inventory under the direction of Production Managers, Supervisors, Leads, Inventory Helpers, or their representatives.
  • Collaborates with other employees to ensure smooth production with no interruptions in the supply of needed items throughout the day.
  • Cleans factory areas and provides janitorial and maintenance support as needed.
  • Assists with off-season cleaning.
  • Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Regular attendance is required for the position. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience/training is required.
  • Must provide Tuberculosis (TB) certificate from a valid medical provider as required by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health.
  • Strong ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Understanding of the general functions of the Utility Worker.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions accurately.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, and handle tasks at a machine-paced level of activity.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English at a high school level.
