• • Supervise a team of 6-8 Delivery Professionals.
  • Must be willing/able to provide oversite of Warehouse staff for Supervisor PTO coverage with same shift hours
  • Must be willing/able to pass DOT medical certification
  • Will coordinate and at times conduct equipment setups
  • Must be willing/able to fill in for van DPs

   

  JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION: Coordinates and consolidates domestic and international systems to support shipments. Ensures lowest cost transportation by analyzing company and customer needs, researching transportation methods and auditing carrier costs and performances. May interpret laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and licenses. May maintain logs and compile information on routes, rates and services on various vendors. Plans and coordinates fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance service and repair, and disposal of trucks, and hires and/or interacts with common carriers (third-party transportation companies) as appropriate. CAREER LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a team or like teams of employees in the professional, business support and/or operations support career streams MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY: Manages activities of a team that range from routine to moderately complex; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Typically, does not spend more than 20% of time performing the same work as those supervised. Would usually have 1 or more of the following responsibilities: hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and/or pay reviews. MANAGEMENT SCOPE/BREADTH: Supervises team members who perform either a single task, or multiple but closely related tasks. Interacts with other supervisors and/or other functional areas to complete assigned tasks. MANAGEMENT IMPACT: Decision will impact the direct workgroup, and failures to achieve may impact short-term goals and deadlines of department. ; For Infusion/Medical businesses - Decisions or erroneous actions can moderately affect or in a significant manner a patient's well-being. Decisions or erroneous actions can minimally affect the well-being of multiple patients. JOB COMPLEXITY: Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager Interacts daily functional peer groups and direct manager to ensure completion of activities. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. MINIMUM EDUCATION & TYPICAL EXPERIENCE OR EQUIV. COMBINATION: Typically has 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities.
