Join our Łódź logistics team and help keep finished products moving reliably to destinations worldwide. This is an entry/developing opportunity where communication, initiative and willingness to learn matter more than arriving with years of transport experience. You will support shipment planning across road, air, ocean and multimodal transport while working closely with Order Management, carriers and the warehouse.
Your role:
- Prepare and maintain short-term transportation plans for finished products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and established processes.
- Calculate transportation capacity and requirements for each destination, using logistics systems to support informed planning decisions and timely adjustments.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate delays, risks and transportation updates to internal teams and external partners, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate master and transactional data and monitor transportation-system parameters to ensure consistent, reliable operational records.
- Investigate daily exceptions, identify root causes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and minimize disruptions.
- Support transport-sourcing decisions by analyzing available capacity, operational needs and cost-effective options, including outsourcing where appropriate.
- Coordinate the introduction of new destinations into transportation plans, working closely with distribution-center teams and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
- Facilitate daily inbound operations, including priority setting, overdue Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) checks, delivery-discrepancy resolution and rework coordination.
- Perform daily interface checks across SAP, Infodis/TMID, logistics service provider (LSP) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) environments, resolving or escalating data inconsistencies.
- Review logistics service-provider performance, identify trends and support corrective actions to improve service quality.
- Help ensure timely product delivery, support promotional Value-Added Services (VAS) activities and coordinate stock alignment between SAP and WMS.
You're the right fit if:
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or an equivalent field;
- Previous experience in Supply Chain, Transport, Logistics, Operations, Physical Distribution or a related area is not required but would be considered an asset.
- You communicate confidently in English and can work effectively with colleagues and partners around the world.
- You are open, honest and direct in your communication and comfortable discussing issues constructively.
- You are motivated to learn, contribute and develop in an entry-level/developing transport role.
- You take initiative, look for practical improvements and follow through on commitments.
- You enjoy collaborating and can build positive working relationships across Order Management, carriers, warehouse teams and other stakeholders.
- You work accurately and bring a reliable, process-focused approach to operational tasks and data.
You may also bring:
- An analytical approach and confidence using Excel.
- Experience with Excel macros, automation or process improvements that save time and increase efficiency.
