An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join our Operations team. The candidate will be part of a larger Ops team who are responsible for co-ordinating all medical deliveries & collections nationwide for our hospital customers. You will be working alongside a number of other dynamic Ops teams all focused on providing a top quality customer experience.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organising Multidrop deliveries around Leinster and nationwide in a timely manner.

  • Efficient daily scheduling of Drivers collections & deliveries. Consolidating work as much as possible into efficient routes.

  • Working with our logistics partners and overnight couriers to move our stock around in a' same day' and ‘next day’ service.

  • Utilising the company fleet effectively to reduce costs.

  • Monitoring and proactively working on team and department KPIs. E.g. Collections completed by 2pm, spend on 3rd party logistics etc.

  • Working with all internal teams to create processes that work and constantly looking to improve the processes.

  • Taking a lean and collaborative approach to how problems and challenges are tackled as a team.

Role Requirements:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must in the Medical industry.

  • Solution-driven and desire to continuously improve.

  • Ability and acceptance of tight deadlines and doing what is necessary to achieve success.

  • Have strong organisational and planning skills.

  • A genuine team player who enjoys tackling challenges and working collaboratively.

  • Good communication skills to successfully deliver messages to internal and external stakeholders.
