Job Description

Our Stoke-on-Trent site are now recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join their friendly team on a full time permanent basis.

Salary: £27,162 per annum

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

The purpose of a Transport Administrator is to provide administrative support and creation of accurate data, with the ability to work to deadlines and contributing to the overall success of the site. 

Key Duties of a Transport Administrator:

  • Regularly updating the WTD system, ensuring the data is up to date and accurate.
  • Monitoring and maintaining records for agency drivers, processing invoices using SAP and keeping accurate records of agencies’ terms and conditions.
  • Regularly updating the training and compliance systems, ensuring data is up to date and running reports for site to review.
  • Inputting and monitoring drivers’ holidays and sickness absence, maintaining the time-keeping and attendance system and processing sick notes.
  • Creating and providing daily reports / spreadsheets for both the Transport and Finance departments.
  • Receiving and monitoring fuel deliveries and maintaining the fuel monitoring system.
  • Completing general administration tasks. Eg. Ordering uniform and stationary.
  • Liaise with Regional Partners with regards to invoicing and PO requisitions.
  • Support with the timely resolution of customer queries and complaints.
  • Monitoring daily and reporting any outstanding POD’s.
  • Recording and monitoring of daily subcontractor activities. Reporting delivery KPI’s and updating the customer portal with delivery information.
  • Support the compliance department maintaining the vehicle compliance system, updating vehicle information as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Fantastic communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Able to manage own time to achieve targets.
