Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will report to the Inventory Manger and work closely with both Production and customer to support as well as our transport partners, to ensure timely and accurate outbound shipments but also inbound and intercompany trade sales. We also have a training centre on site and this role also is required to assist in the day to day booking and running of this as required

This is not a narrow transport role and is a key role in the business for the right candidate to develop in both transport & logistics and also customer service knowledge. You will be expected to balance the needs of production facility and the customer whilst managing transport and ensuring effective communication with both the customer service & production teams.
Main Key measures will include
- EHS and plant Safety - as with all employees.
- All transport measures in and out (other than raw materials)
- OTIF. (On time in full)

The Skills:
We would be looking for a highly motivated self-managed person who can work to priorities, multi-task and develop along with the rest of the team to contribute to the ongoing success of the Wishaw plant and of the business overall.
We would like the individual to be very customer focused, and to have knowledge of basic transport planning and various office admin roles, with an intermediate level understanding of MS Packages.
We operate a SAP ERP System and experience of this or a similar platform business system would be desirable, although this can of course be learned to accommodate a strong candidate in that has the range of appropriate skills above.

Qualifications
- Willingness to adapt learn and be flexible.
- An individual with a self-starting can do attitude with ability to backfill, multi task and support where needed.
- A professional face to the customer, friendly outgoing and ability to prioritise and be solutions driven in all aspects of day-to-day tasks management.
- Ability to take on continuous improvement projects and look for improvements in not only this role but also in other areas that touch this role.
- MS Office intermediate. & Ideally ERP Knowledge or understanding/ability to fast learn a stock control system such as SAP.
