A. Translation and Document Management:
- Translate
all Bank-related documents accurately and professionally from English to Dari
and Pashto.
- Translate
documents from Dari and Pashto into English whenever required.
- Translate
and review the Bank's policies, procedures, manuals, guidelines, circulars,
instructions, and operational documents.
- Translate
banking and financial documents, including but not limited to:
1. Bank
policies and procedures;
2. Legal
and contractual documents including all products of the bank;
3. Regulatory
instructions and correspondence;
4. Board
and management documents;
5. Internal
memos and official communications;
6. Training
materials and presentations;
7. Customer
communications and forms;
8. Product
descriptions and marketing materials;
9. Reports
and strategic documents;
10. Islamic
banking and Shariah-related documents, where applicable.
B. Quality Assurance and Review:
- Ensure
that all translations are accurate, complete, clear, and consistent with the
original document.
- Review
translated documents for grammar, spelling, terminology, formatting, and
clarity.
- Ensure
that the meaning and intent of the original document are not altered during
translation.
- Maintain
consistency in banking, financial, legal, technical, and regulatory
terminology.
- Develop
and maintain a standardized glossary of banking terminology in English, Dari,
and Pashto.
- Ensure
that translated policies and procedures follow the same structure and
formatting as the original documents.
C. Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate
with relevant departments to clarify technical, banking, legal, financial, or
operational terminology.
- Consult
subject matter experts when specialized terminology requires clarification.
- Support
different departments with translation requirements within agreed timelines.
- Provide
interpretation support during meetings, training sessions, workshops, or
official events when required.
- Coordinate
with the document owner to ensure that translated documents reflect the latest
approved version.
D. Confidentiality and Compliance:
- Maintain
strict confidentiality regarding all Bank documents and information.
- Ensure
that confidential, sensitive, customer, employee, financial, and strategic
information is protected at all times.
- Comply
with all Bank policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and
information security standards.
- Ensure
translations are completed in accordance with applicable banking laws,
regulations, and regulatory requirements.
E. Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain
and regularly update a centralized terminology database or glossary.
- Identify
opportunities to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of
translation processes.
- Keep
updated with banking, financial, regulatory, legal, and Islamic banking
terminology.
- Support
the development of translation standards and quality-control processes within
the Bank.
- Any other duties assigned by the line manager / bank.
Requirements
- Bachelor's
degree in English Language, Translation, Linguistics, Literature, Journalism,
Law, Business Administration, Islamic banking / Shariah or a related field.
- Professional
certification in translation will be an advantage.
- Minimum
3–5 years of professional translation experience.
- Experience
in the banking, financial services, legal, regulatory, or corporate sector is
highly preferred.
- Experience
translating professional documents, policies, procedures, manuals, and
official documents are an advantage.
- Excellent command of English;
- Excellent written and spoken command of Dari;
- Excellent written and spoken command of Pashto;
- Strong ability to translate complex banking, financial, legal, and
technical terminology accurately.
- Strong written communication skills;

Skills Required
