Translator with ENGLISH UK – (English US into ENGLISH UK)

We are specialized in localization and internationalization.
We are looking for Linguists with ENGLISH UK to join our dedicated Team.
We are looking for translators comfortable with CAT Tools and passionate about technology to translate either SW or Marketing or Legal content for one of the most innovative Companies leading the future of sustainable mobility.

Responsibilities
In this role you will:
· Depending on the project, translate and ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source.
· Perform linguistic tasks as per project instructions and other references (translation memory, glossary, style guides, etc.).
· Ensure high-grammatical accuracy while maintaining key terminology, spotting inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references.
· Correct formatting/tagging, punctuation, country specifics, terminology, style, fluency as per guidelines.

Requirements
Main requirements:
· Native in target language with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation or equivalent experience
· IT skilled with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools
· Preferred experience as a translator specialized in translation and proofreading of the required field depending on individual fields of expertise (marketing ad/and software and/or legal)
· Comfortable with technology.
· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills.
· As a plus, experience translating content containing embedded variables in an XML environment with a high comfort level in manipulating XML type tags during translation.
· Demonstrated aptitude to independently learn new technologies - some projects might be performed using proprietary localisation tool sets.
· Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
· Flexibility to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently.
· Excellent written and spoken English to truly understand the meaning and translate as if it were originally written in target language.
· Obsessed by the detail, quality-driven and has a passion for languages.
· Understanding and attitude to work within a confidential environment.
· Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with multiple changes in project priorities and tight deadlines
· Available to travel as the business calls
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Good availability, potentially at least 4 hours per day and quick response times
Skills Required
- Native in target language with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools
- Experience with translation memory, glossaries, and style guides
- Preferred experience translating and proofreading in software, marketing, or legal fields
- Comfortable with technology and ability to learn proprietary localisation tools
- Experience translating content with embedded variables and manipulating XML tags (as a plus)
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English to translate naturally into target language
- Self-motivated, proactive, quality-driven, and detail-obsessed
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
